The Divine Dior Dupe PART 1

The Divine Dior Dupe PART 1

In July of 2018 the bag was relaunched after 18 years out of the spotlight, for some people the late ’90s early ’00s nostalgia is vey real with some people even managing to find their original bag tucked away at the back of their wardrobe. Nearly 20 years ago this bag cemented itself into the fashion history books with the help of Carrie Bradshaw from Sex and the City.

This bag has definitely created two very different opinions; you either love it or you hate it. Personally, I love it; it’s always refreshing to have some new shapes in the designer bag market instead of the standard rectangle shape. Nearly two years later and you can order it in all sorts of colours, material, and matching shoulder straps but it comes at a hefty price, the cheapest bag coming in at £2,000! Despite your financial status a lot of people wouldn’t be willing to part with that amount of money for, let’s face it, a bag. So, I have sought out some amazing dupes. In this blog post we will be looking at a dupe for the classic black version; part 2 will have to remain a fabulous surprise.

I delved deep into the internet and found this beauty, costing a fabulous £22.99 it really is a great buy as the original costs £2,450!!Obviously, there are some differences, such as the rose gold hardware and the missing C and D initials on the strap clasp, but when styled right you really wouldn’t know. I mean how much can you expect for that price. Personally, I really like the croc effect but I can understand it may not be to everyone’s taste, if this is the case they have colour options available. Obviously considering their price, the outer material isn’t leather but it is very durable; how it will deal with daily wear and tear only time will tell. The strap is adjustable which is great as I managed to fit this huge puffer jacket under it!

I loved putting this look together with what I already owned in my wardrobe. The cool, edgy street look isn’t usually my go to style but this outfit is definitely going to be one of my favs. This is genuinely a fabulous find for me as I always loved the look of this bag but I wasn’t prepared to spend the money but this way I manage to achieve the look I wanted with my savings still in tact.

Anyway here is the direct link if any of you lovely people want to check it out. Hope you all have as much fun styling it as I did!
