We’ve all seen the beautiful iconic Lirika Matoshi strawberry dress gracing our Instagram feed and at some point we’ve definitely all thought about buying it. However, it does come with a large price tag – $490.00! I know, wow! For most this really isn’t affordable but wait, before you despair I have found a £27.99 Dupe! After wearing the dress a few times I can now write this blog pos on the positives and negatives of this dress. So let’s get into it!
Firstly, Amazon have definitely used a photo of the real dress to advertise this dupe which is very misleading. You also have to mange your expectations as, let’s face it, does cost £27.99 and there will be some compromises.
Let’s dive in, the dress does have beautifully stitched sequin strawberries which definitely sparkle in the sun. On the flip side the skirt does lack some volume and swish to the underskirt. I’m assuming the original dress has layers of tulle under the top layer which the dupe definitely does not have. Although, I have found a solution to this. Personally, i added a pink midi skirt under the dress to add more movement or you could easily wear a petticoat. I would also say the sizing is slightly odd as the small was very large and definitely required pinning at the sides but there are two pink ties around the waist which can easily adjust the fit.
However, overall with some small adjustments you really couldn’t tell it isn’t the original. You definitely get the desired look and aesthetics of the original but at a fraction of the price. Therefore, I absolutely recommend this dress for any occasion, photo shoots or for just wearing around the house. It will absolutely satisfy your strawberry dress needs and I just know you will all look fabulous in it.
