The Dior Saddlebag Dupe.

While scrolling through Instagram over the past few months you can’t have failed to notice the current it bag being pictured everywhere, yes I’m talking about the Dior saddlebag.  In July of 2018 the bag was relaunched after 18 years out of the spotlight, for some people the late ’90s early ’00s nostalgia is vey real with some people even managing to find their original bag tucked away at the back of their wardrobe. Nearly 20 years ago this bag cemented itself into the fashion history books with the help of Carrie Bradshaw from Sex and the city.

Today the bag retails at nearly £2000 with even the second hand and vintage markets charging a small fortune! Personally, I love the look of the bag not because it’s “fashionable” or “trendy” but because I am thrilled the vintage shoulder bag is back. However, I wasn’t prepared to pay the extortionate price tag as I feel the bag wouldn’t be a wise investment due to the fact it wouldn’t retain its market value if you ever wanted to resell. You can imagine then how overjoyed I was to find this amazing dupe while scrolling through the ASOS website. Although it is sold on ASOS it is by Skinny Dip, you will probably be familiar with the brand due to their funky phone cases and priced at £26 the price is very reasonable. I had so much fun styling this bag with some of my new purchases and whether or not the bag continues to dominate the fashion world I will continue to enjoy this bag.
