Body Shop, we all know and love it but with all the competition in the skincare market I feel some people can overlook how good their products really are. Here is a quick review of a couple of my favourite products from Body Shop; I think you’ll love them as much as I do!
For two years now I have consistently used their camomile waterproof eye makeup remover which is the only eye make up remover which doesn’t irritate and sting my eyes. The concept is simple, it is half oil and half liquid which you shake before use to mix the two elements together and pop a small amount on a cotton pad. I can confidently say that it will easily remove even the heaviest and darkest of eye makeup which was a must for me as liquid eyeliner is a daily essential for me. If you are into your anti ageing aids and want to be gentle with the skin around your eye this is a great product for you. I recommend pressing the cotton pad and leave it on my eye for a few seconds and I find it deals with a vast majority of the make up without tugging at the eye area. All round it is a fabulous product at a great price point from a company with great ethics; what is not to love!
Secondly, a fairly new discovery for me; the oil balancing seaweed toner. Before I bought this beauty i was guilty of skipping the toner stage completely due to a bad experience I had with the previous toner i tried, it was far too astringent for my skin and would strip my skin of its natural oils making it even more oily. Well, it was the Body Shop to the rescue again, I popped into my local store to pick up some more of my eye make up remover and this caught my eye. After a quick google I saw the reviews were fantastic and I was already sold! I have now been using this for a month now and can happily report back that IT DOES WORK. Before I introduced this into my skincare routine I had what I would call excessively oily and acne prone skin. After using it religiously morning and night I have definitely noticed a reduction in oil production throughout the day but especially first thing in the morning. As a result of this I can definitely say I have had fewer blemishes. The best thing, as if you needed more reasons, it doesn’t strip or dry out your skin at all and I would say that balancing toner really does describe it perfectly as that is exactly what it does!
