Clinique take the day off Cleansing Balm.

Clinique take the day off Cleansing Balm.

Essentially this is just going to be an explanation of why this product is the best thing since sliced bread; so get ready for a whole lot of lovin’.

Firstly, I should say that I have acne prone skin and that 99.9% of all skincare products break me out and send my skin into a spiral of panic. However, this product has been a dream and since I started using this 5 years ago, it has not caused even one break out! This is probably due to the fact that it doesn’t have any added fragrance, mineral oils, animal by-products or essential oils, so would be especially suited for anyone with acne prone or very sensitive skin or are intolerant to essential oils or synthetic fragrances but it would be suitable for pretty much anyone.

It is a thick, balm consistency which turns to a milky substance once mixed with warm water which allows you to really massage into your face removing every last bit of make up. Personally I like to use this only on my skin to take my face makeup off and not on my eyes as I find it more convenient to use a separate waterproof eye make up remover but I can confirm it will do an excellent job on removing all types of makeup.

It is priced at £25.00 for 125 ml in Boots (although there are cheaper places to find it online e.g Amazon or Beauty Bay). The best part is you really do only need a small amount to do your whole face, a little bit goes a long way!

It really is an excellent product from Clinique and is well worth a try, if you don’t want to spend £25.00 on a product you may not get along with try the mini version for £7.00 on ASOS as an introduction to it.
